Visit the NEDCC Ready or Not page, or contact the NEDCC by email CAready@nedcc.org or by phone at 855-501-3020.
-
Please contact your NEDCC consultant for a preliminary report or letter of support. We encourage applicants and consultants to discuss the recommendations made in your assessment, even without the full document. If you receive your Ready or Not report before Groundwork Grants makes a funding decision, please send the full report to Joana Stillwell, Program Officer (joana@myriadconsultants.org).

Yes! Applicants with emergency readiness assessments over 5 years old, such as previous free assessments through the California Preservation Program, are still valid. However, applicants should include supporting documentation to affirm that the recommendations in older assessments remain operative. If applicable, this documentation should also demonstrate the steps your organization has taken to address past recommendations.
-
Organizations can apply for this current round as well as Groundwork Grants II: Major Projects, however, you must ensure activities are distinct with no overlap between the categories. Previous awardees may apply to advance your project(s) from the previous round through either the main Groundwork Grants program or Major Projects.
-
You can still apply! We suggest teaming up with a partner who DOES qualify. This partner would be the applicant and they should indicate that they are serving as an administrator for your organization or collection.
-
Please contact us and we’ll let you know! If you can support this need with documentation, such as an emergency preparedness evaluation, we may be able to fund you.

These items are all eligible, but our review team encourages you to ensure that your emergency readiness assessment (if received) recommends these items. If the report does not mention these items, justify your requests in the rationale section.

Our colleagues at Conserv have provided us with information on environmental monitoring equipment, one of our pre-arranged goods and services offered. Please read Conserv’s Environmental Monitoring Equipment & Preventive Conservation Training slides (PDF) or watch a 6-minute explainer video for more information.

For goods and services offered by Myriad, specified in the guidelines and application, the purchase transaction will be handled by Myriad. In all other cases, the purchase transactions will be made by the grantee, using the grant funds received. If the total project cost exceeds $20,000, anything over that would have to be paid for through other revenue sources.
-
Our grant guideIines stipulate that all project expenditures must be made by March 31st, 2026. Project expenditures are all purchases needed for the grant. For example: If you request funding for rehousing supplies, the purchase of those supplies must be complete by March 31st, 2026, not the rehousing itself.
